Mission Moments
What is a Mission Moment? When a member shares a story (typically on camera) of a patient interaction that profoundly moved them and made them a champion of the industry. This story defines their “WHY” – Why did they pick this field? Why do they stay in this field?
Check out this mission moment from PHA’s CEO, Mia Haney!
What are they like? Mission moments can be happy, sad, silly, or mundane. Whatever tone the story takes, they all tie together without even trying. This field leads with heart, and we are all here to make a difference in someone’s life.
Watch Mission Moments
How long are they and what are they like? Mission moments should be no more than 1.5 minutes long, unscripted…just you telling a story.
What do I do? Just talk to the camera casually as if you are chatting with a friend. Don’t use last names or any HIPAA sensitive information when telling your story. AND at the end of your story, finish with “THAT is my Mission Moment.”
How will my video be used? With your permission, we would use it in our advocacy efforts to raise awareness for the industry and the meaningful work our members are doing. PLUS, we will feature “Mission Moment Monday” in each weekly Connections and on our social channels.
